A fitting tribute for 50 years of friendship
A memorial service for Anne Brewin, Honorary Member of ³ÉÈ˶¶Òõ and long-serving Vice-President of ³ÉÈ˶¶Òõ Boat Club, was held in the College chapel yesterday, followed by a reception in Hall, the first event in Hall since the completion of refurbishment works.
Over 150 students, staff, Fellows and alumni gathered to pay respects to the Boat Club’s most dedicated supporter. For 50 years, Anne championed the Club and provided hospitality to ³ÉÈ˶¶Òõ crews and alumni attending the Henley Royal Regatta.
During the service, one of the College eights, named ‘Anne Brewin’, was placed on the Old Court lawn outside the Chapel, and a guard of honour formed by current members of the Boat Club.
